Today is the day, one of the world's greatest cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar, will play his 200th and final test match.
The 40 year-old has had an impressive 24 year career, making run-scoring records and helping India win the World Cup in 2011.
Tendulkar is set to quit all cricket after playing in India’s second test against West Indies beginning today.
Although known for his sporting ability, Tendulkar has become an icon in India, forming a solid brand that appeals to a wide audience. Sachin was also sponsored by big brands throughout this career including Adidas, Coca-Cola and Toshiba.
So, we wonder what will be next for brand Tendulkar?
It has been reported by the ‘The Economic Times’ that he is keen to stay involved in cricket, and may start a cricket training academy, as well as represent India on the International Cricket Council.
