Tushar Makkar joins airport and infrastructure major GMR as group head, corporate communications

Tushar Makkar, a seasoned corporate communication professional, has moved to GMR Group as their head of corporate communications.

Till recently, Makkar was group head of communications at the Ahmedabad based Arvind Ltd.

At GMR, Makkar will handle the entire range of corporate communications for the group covering all businesses from airports to urban infrastructure, transportation and energy; and the firm's overseas businesses. This includes corporate communications, branding, social media and new media. He will be based in Delhi.

Over a career span of over 23 years, Makkar has spent 8 years at Microsoft as head of business value communications for India and 4 years at IBM as regional communications manager for India and South Asia.
