APCO has been selected by the Mahindra Group as its agency of record to strengthen the company’s presence in the United States, Kelly Williamson, president of APCO’s North America region, announced earlier this week.
With more than $23 billion in revenue and 260,000+ employees globally, the Mahindra Group aims to increase expansion and investment in the U.S. market.
APCO’s strategy will utilize industry experts in its Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, Raleigh and Los Angeles offices, with Williamson and Safiya Ghori-Ahmad, senior director and head of APCO’s global public affairs practice in Washington, D.C overseeing client relations.
“We have long supported large, multinational corporations on a range of opportunities and issues, and we could not be more excited to work with such an iconic, storied company: the Mahindra Group,” said Williamson. “We are dedicated to supporting Mahindra’s contributions to the United States and strengthening its presence across the country.”
APCO will be supporting the Mahindra Group in the development and execution of strategy to create awareness around its business in the United States—in particular, Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Ag North America.
“We are impressed with APCO’s global reach and expertise across industries,” said Lakshmanan Chidambaram, president and head of Americas Leadership Council, Tech Mahindra and Americas Head, Mahindra Group. “This strategic partnership will bolster our presence in the U.S. market—expanding Tech Mahindra’s influence in communications, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, retail and consumer goods, travel and transportation, tech and media, health care and life sciences, and energy and utilities sectors.”
“As India’s democratic journey continues to evolve, the future of U.S.-India relations holds the promise of deeper collaboration, built on shared values, strategic interests and the mutual pursuit of prosperity and progress,” said Safiya Ghori-Ahmad, senior director and head of APCO’s global public affairs practice in Washington, D.C. “Iconic Indian companies like Mahindra are the building blocks of a thriving bilateral relationship.”
