Shikha Arora, former global lead for communications at Baxter International, has joined Eli Lilly as associate director, of corporate communications (India Lead).
As per media reports, Eli Lilly is aiming to launch the anti-diabetes and anti-obesity drug Mounjaro in India. India has long been considered the diabetes capital of the world due to changing food habits as well as the higher risk among South Asians for the metabolic disorder. The venerable medical journal Lancet, in a 2023 study, estimates that India has 100 million diabetics.
Starting her career at Weber Shandwick, Arora has previously worked with Eli Lilly as manager for corporate communication from 2012 to 2017.
Arora is a seasoned, award-winning communication professional with over 16 years of varied experience across B2B and consumer businesses
She has worked on the USAID Condom Promotion Campaign that won global recognition such as India’s first United Nations Grand Prize for PR excellence.
