Senjam Raj Sekhar, who has previously worked in leadership roles at Flipkart, Bharti Enterprises, Vedanta and Samsung Electronics; has joined Mobile Premier League (MPL) as the global head of communications.
Mobile Premier League is a marquee name in mobile e-sports and recently raised US $ 95 million is a series D funding round. The latest funding round, according to Business Insider, brings MPL's evaluation to 945 million US dollars- within reach of the unicorn tag.
In 2001, while working at Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick, Sekhar successfully managed the animal fat in french fries crisis of McDonald’s in India, and even took on the role of the spokesperson of McDonald’s during the crisis.
With 20 years of communications experience, Sekhar has provided strategic counsel in areas of corporate positioning, messaging, thought leadership and issues management to brands such as HP, Microsoft Navision, Motorola, Adidas, and BBC World.
