The Mavericks, a reputation advisory firm, today announced the opening of its office in Chennai. This will be the firm’s fourth office nationally and the second one in the South, after Bengaluru. The firm is expanding by involving its talent in its entrepreneurial in keeping with its values to be talent led.
Smriti Raghunandan, communications specialist will drive The Mavericks’ business and people acquisition strategy in Chennai. Raghunandan has over eight years of experience in public relations across sectors including technology (B2B and B2C), healthcare, lifestyle, and entertainment while at Genesis Burson-Marsteller and 20:20 MSL in Chennai and Bengaluru.
According to Chetan Mahajan, founder and CEO, The Mavericks India said that Tamil Nadu and especially Chennai is a growing mark for PR, "Chennai is home to many companies that have an outbound global reach. It is also emerging as an important base for B2B high-value enterprises such as Zoho Corporation and Freshdesk. This makes Chennai one of the top five cities in India, including Mumbai and Delhi for the distribution of key startups in India. Because of all these factors, Chennai is potentially a PR market with a size of 25 crore rupees per year as compared to an estimated 5 crores annually for Hyderabad."
