RiseUp PR 2025 launched
It's finally here! Edition 3 of RiseUp PR is now open. The unique initiative enables learning for PR students through a case study competition. The aim is two-fold: to help expose PR students to a process that takes them through the latest thinking about communications and bring talent from beyond the main metros to mainstream attention.
The contest is open to PR, marcomm and business communication students nationally including non-metro cities. The winning team will take home a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000
One three-member team from colleges with communication programmes across the country will take part.
The competition has a unique two-step process.
The participants receive hands-on guidance about how to construct a campaign plan that solves a real life brand communication challenge from a stellar list of mentors drawn from inside and outside the communications industry.
The teams then pitch their campaigns to a top-flight independent industry jury.
RiseUP PR+ 2022 programme director, Moushumi Dutt, said, "It feels wonderful, to get support from PR agencies, participation from colleges and universities from across the country, the belief from PR industry professionals who come on board as jury and mentors, very grateful to each of these constituencies. The idea of RiseUp PR is deeply tied to raise the level of practical PR and communication learning, every year, we see a significant upgrade in the quality of the presentations, the campaign ideas and the extremely well articulated contestants. We are all very excited to roll out the 3rd edition of RiseUp PR 2025."
Unique Mentoring Opportunity for Postgraduate Students
"The dynamic landscape of the communications industry demands fearless, innovative and entrepreneurial thinkers," said Abhishek Gulyani, managing director of Zeno India and head of corporate affairs, Asia Pacific.
"RiseUp PR offers a unique opportunity for young talent in India to rise to the challenge and showcase their ability to navigate the complex and constantly evolving scenarios that brands and organizations face today. By participating in this competition, students will have the chance to work with industry mentors from both India and international markets, gaining invaluable experience and positioning themselves for success in the communications industry", Gulyani added.
Mentoring under Industry Veterans
"The operating environment for organisations has never been more challenging. PR students who will enter the market next year will have to deal with geo-political uncertainties, a permacrisis environment and the need to integrate media engagement with social media outreach.
Added to that are the complexities of platforms and the overflow of information. We at Kaizzen are very pleased to partner with PR Moment for RiseUp, it is a great initiative to support the learning and growth of students who want to build their career in the comms industry with mentoring under industry veterans.", said Vineet Handa, founder and CEO, Kaizzen.
