Shashikant Someshwar has replaced old Weber hand Dilip Yadav as head of Creation, a global communications agency, part of Weber Shandwick. According to Creation, Yadav will be leaving the organisation to pursue personal interests.
This is the third high profile person to join Weber Shandwick from Perfect after Rohan Kanchan and Valerie Pinto in January 2015.
Commenting on Dilip Yadav’s departure, Tim Sutton, Chairman, Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific said: “We are very sad to see Dilip leave us. He has been a wonderful and loyal member of Weber Shandwick for over 20 years and, prior to that, Corporate Voice, Weber Shandwick. He leaves with our warm thanks and very best wishes.”
Someshwar will lead a team of more than 30 consultants working across a broad portfolio of accounts. He will be based in New Delhi and will be tasked with growth of Creation’s business across the country including current hubs in Mumbai and Bangalore, as well as the capital.
“Creation is on a high-growth trajectory globally, with client work now being delivered across more than 30 offices around the world. We will be making more strategic hires throughout the year to further fuel growth, and India was a priority focus given the incredible potential of this market,” said George Coleman, president, Creation.
