Carson Dalton, formerly senior director at Ola Technologies, has joined Coca-Cola as director, PACS (Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability) for South West Asia. The South West Asia region includes five countries: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.
Dalton who starts work on Monday, previously worked with Ola, Facebook. He put out this LinkedIn post on Thursday outlining his new role:
Dalton reports in to the business head of the Coca-Cola South West Asia region and will also have a dotted reporting line to Ishteyaque Amjad, VP, public affairs, communication & sustainability at Coca Cola India & South West Asia.
Dalton is one of the few communication professionals who has, over the years, served in roles that combined PR, public affairs and sustainability. At Ola, he was director at the Ola Mobility Institute (a think tank meant to research mobility and public good); and also served as Ola's director corporate affairs for a year. At Facebook he ceded the communication function and all its' apps for India and South Asia.
